솔직히 저도 처음엔 Seongsu가 그냥 예쁜 카페들만 있는 줄 알았거든요. 근데 한 달쯤 살아보니까 여기는 실제로 살기 편한 동네더라고요. 요즘 외국인들이 자꾸 몰려오는 이유가 있는 거 같아요.

• 식료품 장보기: 스타필드 근처 대형마트 대신, 골목 슈퍼들이 훨씬 싸요. 현지인처럼 생활하려면 여긴 필수
• 카페 문화: 인스타그램 유명한 곳 말고 골목 작은 카페들이 진짜 좋아요. 3,000~5,000원대 아메리카노면 충분
• 빨래소: 동네 세탁소들이 영어는 안 되지만 가격이 저렴하고 친절해요. 제 경험상 셔츠 한 장에 3,000원 정도

• 카페 거리보다는 성수철교 근처 산책로—진짜 조용하고 좋음
• 용답역 방향 문구점과 수제용품 가게들—인테리어할 때 쓸 물건이 많아요
• 저녁 늦게까지 여는 편의점과 분식점—회사원들 생활의 기본

교통과 이동

성수는 2호선, 분당선, 중앙선이 다 지나가거든요. 서울역이나 강남까지 20분 안에 갈 수 있어서 직장이 어디든 괜찮아요. 버스도 많고요.

진짜 팁: 유명한 핫플레이스는 피하고, 동네 주민들이 자주 가는 작은 가게들을 찾아보세요. 성수는 그게 최고의 매력이거든요.

Getting to Seongsu

Take Line 2 to Seongsu Station (성수역), Exit 3 or 4. The main cafe and shop area starts immediately. Everything is walkable within a 15-minute radius.

Best Time to Visit

Weekday afternoons (2–5 PM) are perfect—fewer crowds, all shops open. Weekends get packed after noon, especially the Seoul Forest side. For the warehouse cafes, go before 11 AM on Saturday.

What to Eat in Seongsu

• Onion Seongsu — famous bakery in a converted warehouse (expect 20-min wait on weekends)
• LCDC Seoul — third-wave coffee, industrial interior, perfect for laptop work
• Tteuran — Korean traditional desserts with modern twist
• Street food carts along the main road sell hotteok and egg bread (₩2,000–3,000)
